You can probably already guess what this entry is all about. I nearly had made it through the CCM program without slicing my finger on the various sharp objects (box knives, mat cutter blades, etc). "Nearly" is the keyword here.
I was tidying up my encapsulation using a small box knife when I looked down at my hand and noticed one of my fingers was bleeding. Turned out I had sliced my finger slightly. I'm glad I had the artifact encapsulated at that point or it could have turned nasty ;). Anyway, I'm fine. It's a very small cut (but it was bleeding a lot). I just found it funny. I'm also surprised it took this long ;).
Of course it brought back memories of moving saws at the museum, one of them cutting my elbow and having to get a tetanus shot. Yeah, that was fun. Smallest cut in the world but from what was probably the rustiest (is that even a word?) saw in the world. I'm still getting letters from the Workplace Safety Board or whatever it is. Jeremy says I'll be getting those for the rest of my life.
I'm pretty much done my artifact too! YAY! I just need to hinge the encapsulation into the frame and attach the top and bottom of the frame together, take pictures...and than, finished! Well, at least it's another thing off my list.
