Long weekend?

Posted by CivilWar Fangirl

Maybe I have a long weekend. My supervisor sent me home from work today at 10:00am because of the snow squall warnings that are out for Huron-Perth.

So, how was my drive home? I think I hit every type of precipitation Canada recieves during the winter along Highway 8: snow squall, flurries, rain, freezing rain, ice pellets, sleet, etc. Yes, it was a fun drive home! I'm just glad I did it during the day and not in at my usual time of 4:30 when it starts getting dark.

It's not a wasted day either; I have plenty of work to keep me busy! Like my research paper. So guess what I get to do this afternoon? ;) The paper is due next Friday to college (meaning I have to courier it on Wednesday by noon). I'm pretty much done. I just need to finish editing it and than put it all together. I'm looking forward to it finally being completed!

It's clear right now in Goderich, which explains the weird looks I was getting when I told people I had driven home from Stratford because of the weather. Believe me, it's not nice in some spots along the 8! Apparently, it's supposed to get worse too. Wonderful! My supervisor apparently isn't expecting me tomorrow either. Hence the reason I could have a potential long weekend here!

In other news, Jeremy and I have both been pretty busy. We made another trip over to Port Huron, MI, this past weekend and started our Christmas shopping. We've also been working our way through the single play campaign of Call of Duty 4 as well as levelling up in the multiplayer. It is a great game! Lots of fun, especially the online multiplayer!

Anyway, here's hoping for better weather soon!
