Oh, yeah...

And my research paper is ALMOST done! I will be so glad to get that thing handed in.

Maybe I should clarify what I wrote: a disaster management plan. Basically, this is what to do if there is a flood at the archives. It gives procedures on how to dry archival materials (and pack them, etc). I've also included disaster prevention stuff as well and how to deal with things like mould, pests, mishandled records, etc. Yes, very boring but if a disaster does occur, hopefully it will be helpful! A site never wants to have to use one of these but it's better to have one around.

My supervisor read it over last week and seemed pleased with it. It was a HUGE undertaking. Most disaster plans are written in teams or groups. I did alright with this one though. Had I been at a bigger institution, I think I would have wanted to be in a team.

It was a great experience to write one (though stressful at times) and I'm glad I chose it as my research paper. I will be so glad when it is handed in though ;).

There is three weeks left of my internship. Time flies, doesn't it?

I am dreading the job search in the new year...
