Well,I found out yesterday I didn't get the job in London. I wasn't expecting to but it was still a little upsetting. Oh well, the search shall continue!
Part of me is frustrated with the lack of museum jobs but that is all part of living in Ontario. As I said in a previous post, however, I'm not going to limit myself just to working in a museum so I'm applying for other jobs as well (i.e. office assistant, human resources, etc).
On Friday, I submitted my resume to the Stratford-Perth Museum for the Administrative Assistant job. I'll also be applying for a Museum Assistant position in Oakville. I'm hoping more jobs will come up this week as well! All I can do is keep trying. I'm also going to keep a look out for job fairs.
I really hope I get a job soon because I am so bored! I go into the museum 2 1/2 days a week and work on my volunteer archival project. I'm also working six hours a week at Fincher's, just doing the cleaning. It's not much but it is better than nothing.
So, what else has been happening? Jeremy and I played Rock Band for about 7 hours yesterday. Yes, we're geeks! It was a lot of fun though. We also picked up Guitar Hero II for the 360 (we had a lot of credit at Blockbuster after we traded in some games and DVDs). We've also been working our way through Season 1 of Dallas, which we're both enjoying.
Lost has also started back up again! What a GREAT show! Of course, after every episode we are left with maybe two questions answered and five more questions are being asked. They have eight episodes filmed so far. It will be interesting to see if they film the other eight episodes now that the writer's strike is nearly over.
Oh yeah, and guess what? It's very, very, VERY cold out AGAIN!
