So, remember in my previous entry when I said I didn't really want to do the introduction to today's program but the education coordinator wanted me to? Well, guess what? I was thrown right into it today! Here's the situation:
We had 70 kids go through the program today! Half in the morning, the other half in the afternoon. All 70 ate lunch at the museum. We had it all worked out! That was when we discovered they were painting in the basement (we share the building with the Stratford Festival and they're also in the middle of some major renovations). We knew that might get some complaints from the teachers. And really, who can blame them? I wouldn't want my kid inhaling paint fumes! So, this is at 9:55 and the students are set to arrive at 10am. To make a long story short, we were able to the move tables to another part of the building once we found out the festival wasn't rehearsing at noon. While the Education Coordinator moved the tables, I did the introduction to our Water-Wise program. And, considering it was my first time going through it, I think I did alright! And I actually enjoyed it too.
I think the most rewarding thing was making the kids laugh. And again, we got a lot of positive comments today from teachers and parents, which is always good to hear!
We don't have anymore programs this week, which is kinda disappointing. Doing the programs makes the day go by so quickly and it's often a lot of fun! So, for the rest of the week it'll be packing artifacts in storage and database entry.
And on a side note, the on-line records management course I'm taking is going well! I'm really enjoying it.
And we've got a busy weekend ahead of us! Saturday is movie night at at Jacki and Jean-Paul's. This will be my first year attending and I'm really looking forward to it! Sunday night is the Def Leppard concert with Jeremy and Jacki in Hamilton.

I'm really looking forward to this weekend, too! Should be a blast. They played Love Bites on the radio today. Can't wait for the concert.
We're going to George Michael now, too! Jean-Paul really likes him (not in that way) ;) and he hasn't toured in about 17 years, so we're going!
That's great about George Michael! He hasn't toured in 17 years?! You guys must be looking forward to it.
I've heard a few Def Leppard songs on the radio this week too. Yesterday, on 103.9 The Hawk they spoke briefly about the concert and also about some really bad Def Leppard movie that was made a few years ago.
