I filled up my car (well, not filled up...it was at half a tank) for the bargain price of $1.19/litre at the Zehrs gas bar in Stratford yesterday afternoon. WOW! It is really sad when that is a bargain for gas. Well, I guess it is when gas is $1.32/litre here in Goderich (or it was on Wednesday).
I told my co-worker yesterday that I could remember when gas was around .45/litre. Sad.

I'd imagine there are people alive (and reading this blog!) that remember it being even lower.
In "Some Like It Hot", when they are filling up the car near the beginning, I think the price of gas is .09 cents a gallon.
When I drive Jean-Paul's car I have to fill it up ever other day.... At about $40 a pop.... Takes about $60 to fill my car up now! At least we live right near one of the cheapest gas stations in the city...
Last summer, I would fill up before I left Peterborough and it cost me $30.00 usually. Now it's up over $60.00. Oh, and apparently the government says they can do anything about it. Typical! I'm going to check out the Zehrs tomorrow in Stratford again to see if they're still sitting at $1.19 (they were on Friday).
