I've been drafting tonight...sort of. I just completed my draft learning contract for my internship. It is very general right now as I have not yet had a chance to go over everything in detail with my supervisor. Hence the reason it is only a draft learning contract that is due tomorrow in my Internship & Career Orientation Course (where do they come up with course names, by the way?). The real one is not due until Week 2 of my internship (second week of September, I believe).
I received an e-mail from my internship supervisor last week , just to reiterate what we went over in our first meeting on June 26th. All in all, I am feeling very positive about the internship and I think I'll have a great experience at the small archives I am going to be at. I've got two main projects I'll be doing plus some smaller ones. One of the major ones is writing a disaster management plan (in case of a flood, fire, etc). I'm really looking forward to that actually since its something I've never done before and definitely want experience in writing.
The internship starts September 4th and goes until December 14th. I have to drive about an hour everyday to get there. I really don't mind since I'm able to live at home again. I am slightly worried about the driving once the middle of November rolls around. I'm hoping the snow will hold off until after December 14th. Luckily, I've got a place I can go in case the weather does turn nasty (a special thank-you goes out to Jacki and Jean-Paul!).
It's actually 6 weeks from today that I start my internship. It seems like a long way off but I'm sure it'll creep up quickly!

Hopefully if the weather does get crappy, it won't be impassible this way, too!!
