I am finally finished the classes portion of the CCM program! I'm all moved home and it feels great to be back! I still have some unpacking left to do but I'll tackle that on Monday, most likely. A big thank-you goes out to Jeremy for all his help in moving me back to Goderich. Another big thank-you to Jeff and Jessica as well for helping in Peterborough with loading the van and other moving stuff.
It's slightly weird to be done; Friday night, for instance, Jeremy and I were watching TV after unloading the van and for a split second I felt guilty and thought "I should be doing schoolwork". It was a weird feeling. I had a few moments like that yesterday as well. I'm sure it'll be a little weird for a few days until I finally get accustomed to the fact I don't have to do school work right now.
I will have some work to do outside of the time I'm doing the internship. I have to write a research paper, so I'll be working on that some evenings as well as weekends. My workload, however, will be nowhere near what it was during the classes portion of the CCM program. Believe me, I am thankful for that.
I'd have to say the CCM program was a lot more work than university. It was definitely way more intensive and I had a lot more assignments as well as more courses per semester. I'm glad I went through with the CCM program though, even though at times it was frustrating (i.e. Business Plan). For the most, it was rewarding and a great experience. And I'm really looking forward to the internship.
Saying goodbye to the people in my class was sad on Friday. There was two people in particular that I became really good friends with. One of them lives near Peterborough and the other lives in Missouri. I know I'll see them both again sometime but it could be awhile before I see them again, especially Jessica (she's from Missouri). I know I will probably keep in touch with a few people from the program over the years. It'll be interesting to see where we all get jobs.
