I woke up this morning to very high winds, blowing snow and the occasional snow squall coming in off the lake. Obviously, I'm not driving to Stratford in those conditions.
My dad's take on it: "If the school buses aren't running, you shouldn't either".
We were supposed to have a staff meeting today but my supervisor cancelled that and told me not to drive in.
Oh well, I brought my work with me so I can at least finish up the manual I'm writing for them (it's for this environmental monitoring equipment they have. Yeah, it's really exciting...).
It's crazy how much different it is from last winter! Last year at this time, we had very mild winter and hardly any snow (except for that one storm the first or second weekend in December). I've lived in southwestern Ontario (25 years) and I HATE WINTER! ;)
