Yes, I am stranded again today in Goderich and can't get to Stratford. I am thankful, however, that I'm stranded at home and not elsewhere. And I managed to get access to all my work files via the Citrix server at Perth County so it was rather a productive day for me yesterday. Here's hoping today will be the same!
Winter sucks though. I, as well as many other people, are basically at the mercy of this relentless storm right now. I hate winter because all the travelling decisions you make are based on what the weather will be and, for the most part, if you say you're going to be somewhere, you always have to add "weather permitting, of course"!.
I'm hoping for a break in the weather tomorrow. While I enjoy not having to commute to Stratford, I've got a week and three days left of my internship and I've got stuff I need to finish up at the Archives.
One good thing I noticed last night: Jeremy and I went out grocery shopping, and to Wal-Mart and the dirt mall (a.k.a. Suncoast Mall) and, with the way the weather is, there was no one there! I thought, what a perfect time to do Christmas shopping ;)! It's really too bad we don't have a decent mall here though (hence the reason we refer to it as the "dirt mall"). I might go out there later on today though since they had some good sales on at Ricki's/Bootlegger (you can't go wrong with $10.00 shirts!).
Anyway, I am off to attempt to get some more work done! For those of you have yet another snow day today, enjoy it! :) Just think, we have to put up with this s&*^ until March! Ughhhh...
If Jeremy or I win the lotto, we are so moving south ;).
