Mary's 21" RCA television (circa ...ugh, very old), just hasn't been cutting it for playing games on anymore. The blacks are more of a pea soup green and lately it has developed a nice flicker to it. She's been saving up for a new television and I've been doing some research to see what might suit her best. I narrowed the search down to one in particular, so on Friday we stopped in at Chisholm TV to have a look at it up close. The television is the LG 37" LCD (Model 37LC7D). Long shory short, it was paid for shortly thereafter and delivery took place yesterday morning. We were given a nice price break and it includes 2.5 years of warranty with Chisholm service (as opposed to LG service which would be much more of a hassle). The manufacturer warranty is 2 years and they tacked on another 6 months which is nice.
We've been messing around with it for 24 hours or so now: Xbox 360, some HD DVDs. Wow! This television blows my 47" Panasonic (albeit 5 years old now) out of the water for colour and clarity! I'm very impressed. There's actually more room now too as the television is only about 3 inches deep and weighs about 45 pounds including the stand.
(we've cleaned up the cables a bit!)
